Singapore Management University
Set up in 2000 as Singapore's first private university, SMU offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes modelled after The Wharton School. The university occupies a state-of-the-art city campus located in the heart of Singapore's civic, cultural and business districts and is home to more than 6,000 students from six schools - School of Accountancy, Lee Kong Chian School of Business, School of Economics, School of Information Systems, School of Law and School of Social Sciences. Each has a distinguished faculty delivering cutting-edge research and teaching with an interactive pedagogy.
SMU also has a dedicated Office of Research, centres of excellence and provides public and customised programmes through the Office of Executive Education. It has forged strategic collaborations with world-class partner universities like The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Mellon and the University of Chicago for research, teaching, and student exchange.
International Family Enterprise Research Academy
IFERA, the International Family Enterprise Research Academy, is geared towards advancing family business research, theory and practice through enhanced collaboration and accelerated learning based on world best practice. Its vision is to be the driving force of an international network that ensures that family business, as a multi-disciplinary field, becomes a leading field in business research.
